Embarking on the nomadic journey within the realm of RVs is a distinctive and thrilling adventure. Amidst the snug confines of these mobile homes, curious items often emerge as indispensable, injecting an element of surprise into the RV lifestyle. Join us as we unravel the enigma behind three peculiar items discovered in our RV—keep reading to unveil these fascinating essentials.

Diatomaceous Stone Bath Mat:

Navigating the airstream from the shower to our bedroom presented a unique challenge, requiring a solution to safeguard the floors from moisture. Ditching conventional fabric or rubber mats, our RV has embraced the extraordinary with a mat crafted from Diatomaceous earth.

Diatomaceous earth, a sedimentary rock composed of fossilized diatoms, boasts unique properties ideal for a bath mat. Its exceptional water absorption ensures swift drying, thwarting mold and mildew in the compact confines of an RV bathroom. Moreover, the Diatomaceous stone bath mat's natural antibacterial and deodorizing qualities contribute to a fresher, more hygienic environment. Its textured surface delivers an invigorating foot massage, transforming every shower into a spa-like experience—a visually appealing and functional addition to our RV bathroom.

We adore this bathmat, seamlessly blending with the floor and offering ease of movement. On travel days, it finds its place in the bathroom, staying in position throughout the journey.

Zevo Flying Insect Trap:

Whether nestled in a serene forest or parked beside a bustling stream, contending with bothersome flying insects is an inevitable part of the RV odyssey. In our mobile home, we've discovered an inventive solution—the Zevo Flying Insect Trap. This compact device serves a dual purpose by keeping the interior bug-free while silently trapping airborne pests.

The Zevo trap employs a combination of light and heat to allure and capture insects, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep devoid of incessant buzzing and itchy bites. A small yet effective addition, it transforms our RV into a bug-free haven, allowing us to relish the great outdoors without the annoyance of unwanted guests.

The Zevo trap comes with sticky cartridges that capture bugs. Once filled, simply remove and discard the cartridge. The device astounded us with the number of bugs it trapped overnight. Typically, we plug it in before bedtime, and by morning, all the bugs are ensnared on the sticky cartridge.

Air Fryer:

Traditional RV kitchens are renowned for their compact size and limited cooking capabilities. However, our RV defies the norm with an unexpected culinary companion—a compact air fryer. While unconventional for a mobile kitchen, this appliance has proven to be a game-changer for our on-the-road culinary escapades.

The air fryer allows us to create crispy snacks and healthier versions of our favorite comfort foods without excessive oil or intricate cooking methods. Its portability and efficiency make it an ideal addition to our RV kitchen, offering a surprising yet welcome twist to our road trip dining experiences.

We usually use the air fryer outdoors, despite our airstream having a convection oven. The air fryer's speed at cooking surpasses the Airstream's appliance, making it our preferred choice.

Living the RV life is an ongoing adventure filled with unexpected surprises. The inclusion of a Diatomaceous stone bath mat, a Zevo Flying Insect Trap, and an air fryer brings an extra layer of uniqueness to our mobile lifestyle. These seemingly peculiar essentials not only enhance the functionality of our RV but also contribute to the overall charm and individuality of our home on wheels. After all, it's the quirks that make the journey memorable, and in our RV, we wholeheartedly embrace the unconventional.
